Katie Kapua

Owner

Katie has coached women’s gymnastics for 16 years and was a competitive gymnast. She has organized and created developmental gymnastics programs and has written gymnastics curriculum with an emphasis on progressions. She heard about the many injuries caused by cheerleaders skipping fundamental steps, and just throwing skills they were not prepared for. She started volunteering with teams and coaches to help them keep the athletes safe. While working with various cheer teams, she heard of the need for a quality cheer program in the South Bay area and decided to start South Bay Cheer 360. Katie has been USAG certified, currently USASF certified, CPR, and AACCA certified. She also graduated Magna Cum Laude and Honors in her major while receiving her BA in Liberal Studies. One of her greatest joys as the owner of South Bay Cheer 360 is enjoying and celebrating the daily successes of her students in the 360 program.
